V1 is a wall lamp that plays with formal interpretations of the human body, flowers, and seashells, its white lightning provokes a relaxed and sensual vibe.

In Spanish, in Mexico when a woman has a baby people use the phrase "dió a luz" translating literally "as gave light".

Body self-knowledge gets lost and limited by moral and cultural standards, we are thought to create a secretive veil aroung body parts by calling them popular names, leading to a sense of body-person disconnection, making hard to even properly name anatomy, losing the sense of belonging leads to an ambiguous private and public relationship with our bodies, where we use popular names to designate anatomy while advertising in newspaper promotes labioplasty surgery. To celebrate the bold aspects of female genitalia the concept was turned into a lamp, making visible the source of life and the symbolic aspects of the vulva as well as the aversion and adoration feelings it provokes.

Light as life.
