In this national contest designers were tasked to design a product that combined traditional Mexican culture with the contemporary millennial generation, while also fitting into Kikkerland’s product world.

Previously developing a full brand analysis and evaluating the company’s strengths gave me the tools to brainstorm, allowing me to develop and propose suitable product concepts and solutions. Thanks to this the Maraca was selected for being the most suitable concept for the brief, a quick mock-up was created, after CAD modeling and technical adjustments, a 3D printed high-quality prototype was made and evaluated at New York City, Kikkerland´s Headquarters.
